Pakistan skipper Babar Azam has been accused of sexual harassment for abusing her for 10 year and giving false marriage hopes. In a press conference, the victim brought some serious allegations against the cricketer while stating that she stood like a rock behind Babar during his tough times and also helped him financially.
Babar Azam, who is currently in New Zealand with the Pakistan squad and women in the discussion are school friends. As per the woman, Babar had proposed her for marriage in 2010 and they eloped for a court wedding next year.
Babar Azam accused of sexual abuse
However, Babar Azam, who led Pakistan in the 2012 U-19 World Cup, changed his mind as he rose to fame and was selected in the national team. Further, the woman revealed that Babar threatened to kill her before she went to the police. She further accused Babar of physically assaulting her.

Adding further, the woman claimed that she paid for Babar’s expenses during his difficult times. Meanwhile, the woman also accused PCB of taking no steps after she approached them. The shocking revelations have left the cricket fraternity in a state of shock and it remains to be seen if the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) takes any action against the cricketer.

Babar Azam, who took over Pakistan’s leadership duties across formats earlier this month, is currently in a 14-day isolation period along with other teammates. Ahead of the series, seven players of the touring party have tested positive for COVID-19. The names of the players haven’t been revealed by any of the cricketing boards.
The first match of the series between Pakistan and New Zealand kick-off from December 18.
