Palak Muchhal Breaks Silence On Smriti Mandhana And Palash Muchhal’s Wedding

The wedding of cricket star Smriti Mandhana and music composer Palash Muchhal — which was scheduled for November 23 in Sangli — has been postponed indefinitely due to sudden medical emergencies. On the morning of the ceremony, Smriti’s father, Srinivas Mandhana, fell seriously ill and was rushed to the hospital.

Hours later, Palash himself was admitted after his health deteriorated. Although both were subsequently discharged, the two families decided not to proceed with the wedding, and no new date has been announced.

Public Reaction & Social Media Silence

In the wake of the postponement, both Smriti and Palash withdrew from social media engagements related to their wedding. Smriti reportedly removed all posts related to the wedding and engagement — including a widely shared proposal video shot at a stadium — while some casual photos of the pair continue to remain. Observers also noticed that both added an “evil eye” emoji to their Instagram bios, a move that sparked fresh speculation among fans and followers.

Meanwhile, Palash has made a few low-key public appearances. Initially, he was seen at an airport, marking his return to public view. More recently, a photograph of him wearing a mask during a visit to Premanand Maharaj Ashram in Vrindavan went viral — adding fuel to ongoing gossip and intrigue.

Family Speaks Out — “We Would Like to Believe in Positivity”

After a few days of silence, Palash’s sister, Palak Muchhal, finally addressed the postponement, asking for privacy and urging the public to support both families during this difficult period. In a statement, she said, “I think the families have been through a very, very tough time, and I would just want to repeat that we would like to believe in positivity in this time and spread positivity as much as we can. And stay strong… yeah.”

Her words underline that the health situation rather than any personal conflict prompted the delay. Family sources have confirmed that both men are out of hospital, but as of now, there is no clarity on when — or if — the wedding will be rescheduled.
