Pat Cummins Playfully Taunts Marnus Labuschagne Post SRH’s Triumph Over RCB in IPL 2024

SunRisers Hyderabad captain Pat Cummins displayed his witty side following his team’s victory against Royal Challengers Bangalore on Monday, April 15th. SRH surpassed their own record by achieving the highest team total in IPL history, scoring 287/3 against RCB.

Despite RCB’s valiant effort, they fell short, posting 262/7 and losing by a margin of just 25 runs. Pat Cummins shared a photo on Instagram alongside Travis Head, who was awarded the Player of the Match. You can watch the post here:

Marnus Labuschagne, Cummins’ compatriot from Australia, expressed admiration for Head’s performance, leaving a comment on the post.

“Wow 🤯”

The SRH skipper playfully teased Labuschagne’s power-hitting prowess, suggesting that even Labuschagne could easily clear the shorter boundaries at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

“You’d clear the fence here at Bengaluru.”

Head delivered an extraordinary performance, scoring an impressive 102 runs from only 41 deliveries, setting up a solid foundation for SRH to unleash their batting firepower in the latter part of their innings, reminiscent of their performance against the Mumbai Indians, where they amassed 277/3.

Pat Cummins stood out as the top performer among the bowlers from both teams

In a high-scoring match where over 550 runs were scored, SRH captain Pat Cummins maintained an economy rate of over 10 runs per over. However, he showed astute judgment of the conditions, consistently picking up crucial wickets whenever RCB gained momentum.

Cummins dismissed Sourav Chauhan leg before wicket and removed Faf du Plessis, who appeared dangerous, caught behind. Later, he returned to the attack to break the partnership between Mahipal Lomror and Dinesh Karthik by dismissing Lomror.

His figures of 3/43 played a significant role in SunRisers surviving Karthik’s aggressive batting onslaught and securing the two points.

The upcoming game for Sunrisers Hyderabad is against Delhi Capitals on April 20th, taking place at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.
