PMGC Announced With An Overall Prize Pool Of $6 Million

Recently, Krafton announced the Esports roadmap for Battlegrounds  Mobile India, which is the Indian version of the world’s most famous battle royale title, PUBG Mobile. The game surpassed 20 Million downloads within 24 hours of release and topped the Indian Google Play charts.

After the official launch of BGMI in India, Krafton announced two back-to-back esports tournaments. The first one was an invite-only streamer showdown consisting of the top content creators and esports athletes from India. The showdown featured an overall prize pool of 6 Lakh rupees. After the conclusion of the streamer showdown, Krafton announced the first BGMI Open esports tournament with an overall prize pool of $134,000 US Dollars or 1 crore rupees. It is titled Battlegrounds Mobile India Series.

Earlier this month, Krafton announced the return of their massive International PUBG Mobile Esports Circuit tournament, PUBG Mobile World Invitational, an invitational tournament that is the successor to PUBG Mobile Global Championship, the last International PUBG Mobile tournament, which was held in Dubai.

The PMWI (PUBG Mobile World Invitational ) tournament featured the top-tier PUBG Mobile teams from different parts of the world, powered by Gamers without Borders and OnePlus as its official smartphone partner, Nimo TV as the media partner. The tournament roadmap is set to feature two zones, East and West. 16 teams from each zone. A total of 32 teams participated in this tournament.

Krafton announced the return of the PUBG Mobile Grand Championship with 3 times more prize pool than last time ( $6 Million US Dollars ). The top teams from the league stage and final stage of the PUBG Mobile Pro league will qualify for the Grand Championships. However, details about the mode of the event are still unknown but Tencent is “trying hard” to host a LAN event.
