With the India tour of Sri Lanka is just less than 2 weeks away, Prithvi Shaw has discussed his relationship with Rahul Dravid. Young Prithvi Shaw and Legend Rahul Dravid both are part of the India tour of the Sri Lanka limited-overs series. Dravid will coach the Shikhar Dhawan led the side and Prithvi Shaw is likely to open with Dhawan.
Shaw has stated that Rahul Dravid brings a lot of experience to the table and his rich cricketing insights will help the team. Prithvi Shaw also opened about getting a call from Rahul Dravid after he received a ban from cricket for doping.
21-year-old Shaw while talking about getting a call from legendary cricketer Dravid. Prithvi told he felt very good to get a call from a personality like Rahul Dravid. Shaw also opened about getting a lot of knowledge from the former Indian captain during the Sri Lanka tour.

21-year-old Shaw was suspended from cricket for eight months in June last year for a doping-related matter. BCCI took the matter in hand and handed over suspension to Shaw. However, Prithvi has made a sensational comeback in cricket after the ban. He also asserted Dravid has helped him a lot in tough times.
“When I got banned for doping, he called and said, ‘This is part of life. It’s ok. It wasn’t my fault and I will come back stronger.’ It felt really nice that he talked to me even during my bad phase,” Shaw told The Indian Express.
“As Rahul sir is there, one will expect discipline in the dressing room. I’m looking ahead to the practice sessions with Rahul sir because I love to speak to him for hours. This tour, I just have to grab the opportunity,” he added.
Management wants Prithvi Shaw for the England Test series
With Shubman Gill ruled out of the five-match Test series against England, the management has requested Indian selectors to send two openers, namely Prithvi Shaw and Devdutt Padikkal to England.
It remains to be if the selectors agree to the management with three openers already in the backup.
