Pakistan and controversy have turned out to be synonymous of each other. Days after Pakistan Cricket Board suspended Umar Akmal for violating their anti-corruption code, another incident has rocked the ongoing Pakistan Super League during the game between Karachi Kings and Peshawar Zalmi, which underwent from February 20 (Thursday).
A totally unexpected turn of events occurred in the Karachi dugout during the course of the game. A member of Karachi Kings was seen talking on a mobile phone during the match. The incident is likely to stir a dispute and could also land the member as well as the team in hot waters.

Meanwhile, in an attempt to curb corruption and match-fixing, the International Cricket Council (ICC) have banned mobile phones in the dressing room and the dugout. The players are informed to hand over their gadgets before the start of the game to the anti-corruption unit member. During the games, the management is only allowed to use walkie talkies monitored by the anti-corruption unit. But the member of Karachi Kings member was spotted using mobile phones in the dugout, the reason only known to him.

Meanwhile, speaking about the game, Karachi Kings registered their first win of the season beating Peshawar Zalmi by ten runs. Batting first, the Kings banked on a top show from the No.1 T20I batsman Babar Azam alongside skipper Imad Wasim to post a massive total of 201 runs on the board. Azam smacked 78 runs off 56 deliveries while Wasim scored 50 runs from just 30 deliveries to give Karachi the much-needed momentum.

Peshawar Zalmi planned the chase to perfection but Karachi Kings held nerves in the dying moments to take the game home. Kamran Akmal and Liam Livingston struck the ball to all parts of the ground before skipper Darren Sammy amassed 30 runs off 20 balls but Umaid Asif stood tall to snatch the victory for the Kings.
