Contrary to recent reports, Punjab Kings have not officially instructed Arshdeep Singh to stop uploading vlogs or Instagram reels. Cricbuzz has learned that the franchise plans to address the matter with the players on Saturday evening, including Arshdeep, while seeking their adherence to the latest advisory issued by the Board of Control for Cricket in India.
Arshdeep, who represents both India and Punjab Kings, has built a strong presence as a content creator with more than six million Instagram followers. His entertaining reels have gained significant popularity online, drawing the attention of BCCI officials and team management.
Moving forward, any video content is expected to be created and shared only through the franchise’s official social media platforms. Punjab Kings are scheduled to hold a meeting with the squad on Saturday evening after training at the HPCA Stadium, where players will also be asked to sign documents confirming their compliance with the new guidelines.
Satish Menon to Address Punjab Kings Squad After Co-Owner Misses Meeting
It is understood that one of the co-owners of Punjab Kings was originally expected to speak to the players during the meeting. However, reports suggest the owner could not arrive in Dharamsala after a flight diversion disrupted travel plans. As a result, franchise CEO Satish Menon will now officially address the squad and seek their assurance regarding compliance with the new guidelines.
As previously reported by Cricbuzz, the Board of Control for Cricket in India has circulated a detailed advisory outlining several dos and don’ts for IPL players, support staff, managers, franchise officials, and owners.
The instructions cover multiple areas, including interactions with guests, access to team hotels, smoking and vaping regulations, display of accreditation cards, and adherence to PMOA guidelines.
According to the BCCI directive, every team manager must organise a meeting with the squad within 48 hours of receiving the advisory, and Punjab Kings are set to conduct theirs on Saturday evening within the specified deadline.
The report further stated that the BCCI “holds the Team Manager and/or the authorised person from the Franchise jointly and severally responsible for ensuring full compliance with the directives.”
The advisory also directs team management to “conduct a mandatory team briefing within 48 hours of receipt of this Advisory to communicate its contents to all players and support staff and obtain a written acknowledgement from each player and support staff member confirming receipt and understanding of the directives.”
Punjab Kings are currently placed second in the Indian Premier League 2026 standings with 13 points from 10 matches. Their next fixture is against Delhi Capitals on May 11 in Dharamsala.
