Rahul Dravid got a hero’s reception and was accorded a guard of honour by aspiring cricketers at a cricket academy in Bengaluru. This was while making his entry as a World Cup-winning coach to the scene. Young budding talents and the coaching staff at the cricket academy joined others to honour the former Indian team’s coach, Dravid. The students lifted their bats and the coaching team of the academy appreciated Dravid on the ground.

After receiving a welcome, the World Cup-winning coach simply smiled, nodded, and greeted and shook hands with all those present. Men In Blue won the T20 World Cup 2024 under the leadership of captain Rohit Sharma, which was made possible by the crucial support of Dravid and his unyielding passion.

Rahul Dravid began his international tour in 1996 and represented India up to 2012 but a record of lifting the World Cup was always near his heart. He finally got to achieve that dream as a coach, and that ensured that he got to lead the Indian team for the last time.

Addressing the students of Bengaluru’s local cricket academy in a video message, Dravid said that he is glad to be back at the ground where he will get to witness, train, and guide young talents who are ready to make it big in Indian cricket.

“Next week I will be unemployed”- Rahul Dravid

Rahul Dravid put his bad experiences behind him as he lifted the T20 World Cup 2024 trophy. Dravid responded to his removal as India’s head coach by winning the ICC T20 title. Following an incredible victory, the famed cricket player declared that he would be jobless starting next week, but would instantly move on.

“I will be able to move on quickly from this win, next week I will be unemployed (laughs). Don’t want to think too far ahead, but yes, hope and will be able to move on. I think that’s what life is all about,” Dravid said to PTI.
