[Watch] Rashid Khan Foxes Krunal Pandya With A Brilliant Googly

Gujarat Titans (GT) defeated Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) by a comprehensive margin of 62 runs in the second leg encounter at MCA stadium in Pune. As a result, Hardik Pandya and Co. become the first team to qualify for playoffs in IPL 2022 with 16 points.

While defending the total of 144 runs, Gujarat Titans were dependent heavily on Rashid Khan to give them important breakthroughs and bowl an economical spell. Rashid Khan didn’t disappoint anybody and he dismissed Krunal Pandya in his first over of his spell.

In the 8th over of the game, Rashid Khan bowled a googly at a slower speed. Krunal tried to reach for it but got deceived by the dip that the ball got. Krunal Pandya completely lost his balance and the ball went past his outside edge. Saha behind the stumps did an amazing job to stump out the batsman in a short reaction time.

Saha is famous for his brilliant work behind the stumps. He has made cricket fans in awe of his wicket-keeping many times for India. While Rashid Khan is one of the greatest T20 bowlers of all time. He has been in brilliant form in IPL 2022. Rashid has also contributed immensely with the bat as a finisher.

Gujarat Titans humble Lucknow Super Giants in a clash of table-toppers

After electing to bat first, Gujarat got off to a poor start. They lost the wickets of Wriddhiman Saha and Matthew Wade in the powerplay. Hardik Pandya and David Miller also failed to deliver with the bat today. However with an anchoring knock of 63* runs from Shubman Gill and an impactful cameo of 22 runs from Rahul Tewatia, the Titans managed to post 144 runs.

In reply, Lucknow never looked in line to chase down the total as they lost wickets at regular intervals. Mohammed Shami draw the first blood before Rashid Khan ran down the batting with four wickets. Debutant Sai Kishore also scalped two wickets as Gujarat bowled out the Super Giants for 82 runs.
