Ravi Bishnoi Shines As Best Fielder In 4th T20I

India sealed a commanding 135-run victory over South Africa in the final T20I, clinching the series 3-1. The match saw stellar performances, with Tilak Varma and Sanju Samson scoring centuries to propel India to a formidable total of 283 runs. South Africa, in response, folded for 148 in just 18.2 overs. Among the highlights of the game, Ravi Bishnoi earned the “Best Fielder” award for his spectacular catch of South African skipper Aiden Markram off Arshdeep Singh’s bowling. This exceptional effort was recognized with a medal during the post-match presentation.

Tilak Varma Wins ‘Impact Fielder of the Series’ Award

Following the series victory, captain Suryakumar Yadav unveiled the winner of the “Impact Fielder of the Series” award in a unique and humorous way. With contenders like himself, Sanju Samson, and Tilak Varma in the running, the suspense ended when Suryakumar theatrically walked over to Samson, shook his hand, and announced Tilak as the winner. Amidst laughter and applause, coach VVS Laxman presented the medal to Tilak. The young cricketer added a touch of charm to the moment by quoting Rinku Singh’s popular phrase, “God’s Plan.” The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) shared the video, which quickly went viral.

Suryakumar Praises Tilak’s Promise

Tilak Varma’s consecutive T20I centuries drew high praise from Suryakumar Yadav, who sees him as a future star for India. Speaking at the series’ conclusion, Suryakumar reflected on the importance of giving Tilak the No. 3 batting position, likening his role to that once held by Virat Kohli. “It’s the perfect time for a young player like him to take responsibility,” said the captain. He lauded Tilak for delivering in critical situations, notably in games at Supersport Park and beyond. Suryakumar expressed hope that Tilak will continue to excel, not only in T20s but across all formats, solidifying his place in the Indian cricket setup.
