Roger would have joined me – Ravi Shastri
The sale of liquor was allowed all by state governments in most regions across India as they look to earn some revenue which has taken a significant hit since the first nationwide lockdown was imposed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on March 24.
During the conversation, the former spinner of the Indian National Cricket Team has picked two of his teammates to share the drink. He chose Laxman Sivaramakrishnan of Chennai and Roger Binny top spend the time with a drink.
“Siva (Laxman Sivaramakrishnan), Roger (Binny) will be on the top of the list,” Shastri said when asked about his beer buddies. With the lockdown now, I’m past the red zone and am currently in the orange zone in Alibaug. I’m going to get a beer tonight, am sure there will be some shop open.”
”And if I had to get two guys to get a beer with me I’m sure Roger would have joined me and so would Siva,” Shastri added on being asked whom he would like to hang around within quarantine from the Indian team of 1985.
On the work front, Ravi Shastri was last involved with the team during the first ODI of the series against South Africa, which was washed out. He will be next seen on the field when the Indian Premier League gets over.
