Ravindra Jadeja Involved In Argument With Cop

Ravindra Jadeja

Ravindra Jadeja got into a heated exchange with a woman constable in Rajkot after not wearing a face mask. The Indian all-rounder was reportedly with his wife in his car when head constable named Sonal Gosai, from Mahila police station, stopped him on Monday at around 9:00 PM.

Jadeja and his wife were rude to the head constable when she interrogated them concerning the mask. While police didn’t report any case, Gosai reportedly admitted herself in a private hospital complaining of stress. Since the COVI-19 pandemic that Indian government has rigidly instructed everyone to wear masks to shield themselves from the deadly virus.

Earlier the CEO of CSK had stated that Ravindra Jadeja will not be part of the training camp of the franchise in Chennai that will begin later this week. Due to personal commitments, Jadeja will directly be rejoining the team when they depart for UAE later this month.

In 2019, Jadeja became the second-fastest Indian bowler to scalp 200 Test wickets in just 44 matches. Jadeja has been an integral member of team India in all formats in the last 5 years. Recently, Wisden named Ravindra Jadeja as the country’s ‘Most Valuable Player’ of the 21st century.

“After all, he’s not even always an automatic pick in their Test team. However, when he does play he is picked as a frontline bowler and has batted as high as Number 6 contributing to a very high match involvement,” reported Wisden quoting CricViz’s Freddie Wilde.

Chennai Super Kings will leave for August 21 for the UAE to feature in IPL 2020.
