Ravindra Jadeja Joins BJP As Part Of The Party’s ‘Sadasyata Abhiyan’ Campaign

On Tuesday, September 3, Ravindra Jadeja, the experienced all-rounder for Team India, became a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). His wife, Rivaba Jadeja, had previously joined the BJP in 2019 and currently serves as a party Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) representing the Jamnagar seat in Gujarat.

The BJP’s ‘Sanghathan Parva, Sadasyata Abhiyan’ campaign was the reason for Jadeja to join their party. A membership drive takes place every six years and during its launch in front of BJP headquarters in Delhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi renewed his own membership.

Her official X account revealed that Rivaba shared some photos with her husband as they displayed their BJP membership cards.

It is important to note that earlier, Ravindra Jadeja had campaigned for Rivaba. Now while the wife of him is associated with BJP, his father Aniruddhsinh joined Congress along with his sister Naynaba in 2019.

Jadeja played in India’s 2024 T20 World Cup team. After Men in Blue won the tournament, this experienced player declared his retirement from T20Is.

“I have started the membership campaign from my home” – Rivaba Jadeja comments on Ravindra Jadeja joining BJP

Rivaba Jadeja said during a recent media interaction that she started the BJP membership campaign from her house with Ravindra Jadeja as part of the team. India TV News quoted her as saying:

“I have started the membership campaign from my home. Yesterday, the BJP organized a press conference as part of its membership campaign. The campaign was run by BJP city and district.”

The ongoing 17th edition of Duldeep Trophy was set to be played by Ravindra Jadeja. He was initially named in Team B squad but got released from the squad even before the domestic red ball competition commenced.

Jadeja is likely to be seen in action during India’s upcoming two-match home Test series against Bangladesh. The first Test will take place in Chennai on September 19th.
