Ravindra Jadeja suffered a freakish concussion injury during the third T20I against Australia at Canberra. Before that Jadeja showed his class with the bat and brought his A-game whenever India needed him to score runs. After suffering concussion Jadeja has not taken any further part on the Australian tour.

The India all-rounder is trying his best to recover and be ready for the remaining matches of the Test series. Team India suffered an embarrassing loss at Adelaide and are now searching for options ahead of the boxing day Test. Several reports suggest that if Jadeja wholly fit he might replace Hanuma Vihari and play as a batting all-rounder.

Ravindra Jadeja will play the second Test if he gets fully fit

Vihari failed to impress in both his knocks at Adelaide and is now not a certainty for the MCG Test. Meanwhile, Jadeja is the last few years has taken his game to another level and is today a trusted performer for team India. Jadeja adds value in every department of the game which will be useful for team India in the Test series. The 31-year-old can bowl long spells which will release some load from the fast bowlers.
