Ravindra Jadeja’s Instagram Disappearance Sparks Speculation

Ravindra Jadeja’s verified Instagram account, “royalnavghan,” has gone offline, triggering widespread speculation about his future with Chennai Super Kings (CSK). Fans quickly noticed the disappearance, coinciding with ongoing rumors of a potential trade deal involving Jadeja.

While it remains unclear whether he deactivated the account himself or if it was hacked, the timing has intensified discussions across social media, especially as reports suggest CSK might be trading him to Rajasthan Royals ahead of the IPL December mini-auction to acquire Sanju Samson.

Potential Trade and IPL Journey

If the proposed trade goes through, Jadeja would reunite with Rajasthan Royals after 16 years, having initially represented the franchise during the 2008 and 2009 seasons under coach Shane Warne. Jadeja’s IPL journey began with the Royals, followed by a season with Kochi Tuskers in 2011, before CSK acquired him in 2012.

Over the years, he became a core part of CSK’s squad, retained through major auctions including those in 2018 and 2025. Notably, he captained CSK briefly in 2022 but was replaced by MS Dhoni after the team struggled early in the season.

Achievements and Franchise Impact

Jadeja has been instrumental in CSK’s success, contributing to three of their five IPL title victories, including a memorable last-over performance against Gujarat Titans in the 2023 final. Over 254 IPL matches — the fifth-most in the league’s history — he has emerged as CSK’s highest wicket-taker with 143 wickets and shares the record for most Player-of-the-Match awards (16) with Dhoni.

Reports indicate Rajasthan’s interest in acquiring an experienced Indian spinner led to the renewed push for Jadeja in the Samson trade, though CSK resisted additional demands, proposing England all-rounder Sam Curran instead. His potential departure marks the end of a significant chapter in IPL history, as fans anxiously await confirmation of the trade.
