Report : India likely to play two D/N tests at Australia next year

The Tests between the Indians and Kangaroos are always viewed as one of the best rivalries for a long time now. Not just for the run-scoring and wicket-taking abilities, but the passion they bring on the field. But the latest news seems to be a treat for all the fans.

As a part of the ICC world Test championship, India will be visiting Australia next year for the test series. Now, reports suggest that India could play two D/N tests as a part of the tour.

Melbourne and Sydney are known for boxing day and New year tests which will be played as normal day games. Two among Brisbane, Adelaide, and Perth are expected to host D/N games as a part of the tour. There hasn”t been any official confirmation on the same, but reports suggest that talks are already on.

The Indian side has now played a pink-ball Test at Kolkata this year. However, it is yet to play the same in SENA countries.

Barring a couple of encounters, it is to be noted that Border-Gavaskar trophies have been comprising four games. But Cricket Australia is in talks with the BCCI whether it is interesting for a five-match series going forward. Further development of this news is awaited.

ICC World Test Championship standings

India is comfortably placed at the top in the ICC Test championship after winning all the games played till now. They have crushed the West Indies, South Africa, and Bangladesh in the past four months.

On the other hand, even the Kangaroos have enjoyed an oscillating outing till now. After retaining the Ashes, they dominated Pakistan at home clinching it 2-0. Though the margin of points is way beyond India, they are placed second in the table.
