After the retirement of Mohammad Aamir a few days ago, Pakistan cricket has been hit with another bad news as Wahab Riaz has announced retirement from Test cricket according to reports given to Duniya News.

Wahab Riaz has informed Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Ehsan Mani about his retirement and will make a formal announcement after coming back to Pakistan. After Mohammad Amir decided to retire from Test Cricket, the former Pakistani greats criticized him and said Pakistan needs him in tough overseas tours. Aamir served a long ban for match-fixing scandal.

Wahab Riaz was not initially picked in the 15-man squad for World Cup 2019. After Pakistan poor performances in the ODI series against England, the Pakistani selectors decided him to pick. He took 11 wickets from 8 matches (8 innings) with an economy of 6.00. With Pakistan suffering badly from Test cricket, Wahab Riaz will be badly missed.
