Rishabh Pant probably isn’t as highly rated for his wicket-keeping as he is for his batting in Test format, especially on turning tracks where it’s difficult to judge the line and length of the balls given the amount of turn the pitch brings in.

But given all the reputation Rishabh Pant has carried as a wicketkeeper, the latter has looked sensational in sensational touch in the 2nd Test in Chennai against England. After scoring an unbeaten knock of 58 runs off 77 deliveries only to run out of partners at the other end, Rishabh Pant was seen showing off his wicket-keeping skills during England‘s batting as the youngster pulled off not one but two one-handed stunners to dismiss both Ollie Pope and Jack Leach.

Rishabh Pant Plucks A One-Handed Twice To Dismiss Both Ollie Pope And Jack Leach

First up it was Ollie Pope who was dismissed by Mohammed Siraj which marked the pacer’s first wicket on home soil. Siraj bowled the delivery down the leg slide with Ollie Pope not able to get enough bat on it, tickled it down behind to which Rishabh Pant throws himself down like a goalkeeper to pluck an absolute one-handed stunner.

Post which Jack Leach was also a victim of Rishabh Pant’s brilliance behind the wickets as Ishant Sharma looking to wrap things up bowled an angling fourth stump line delivery forcing Leach to put some bat on it leading to huge edge headed towards the gap between wicketkeeper and wide slip wherein again Rishabh Pant just threw himself towards his left to finish a spectacular catch.
