Team India’s wicket-keeper batter Rishabh Pant, who recently faced a horrifying car accident on December 30, is finally able to ‘sit out and breathe fresh air’. Pant, who has undergone multiple surgeries since the accident, shared an Instagram story, giving fans an update about his recovery as well.

In the picture, Pant was seen sitting outside, where he got to feel the fresh air again as well. As the Indian Team gears up to play against Australia in a 4-match Test series, Pant’s services will surely be missed as well. It is also noteworthy that Rishabh Pant’s heroics helped India win on their last tour Down Under.

And, Australia great Ian Chappell feels the hosts will not be happy to not have him as well.

“India are really going to really miss Rishabh Pant. The Australians will be happy. He is a counter attacker, the guy who keep you awake are guys who score quickly and changes game in one session. Pant was one such player,” Chappell said during an interaction organised by Star Sports.

Meanwhile, his unavailability could see a selection conundrum in the team selection and Kapil Dev, the former India captain, is not happy with his accident as well.

“I love him very much. I want him to get well and when he gets well If you go, I will go and slap you hard, because take care of yourself. Look, your injury has spoiled the combination of the whole team. That’s why there is love and affection that you get well soon. Then there is also anger that such mistakes today’s youth Why do boys do it? There should be a slap for that too,” Kapil Dev said on Uncut about Rishabh Pant.
