Meanwhile, speculation rife that one between the ICC T20 World Cup and the Indian Premier League will go ahead this year. However, India’s limited-overs skipper Rohit Sharma desires to compete in both IPL 2020 and the global event.

Meanwhile, ICC is yet to decide on the future of the T20 World Cup in Australia. While it looked almost over at one point, but things have started looking brighter with the COVID-19 curve flattening in Australia. On the other hand, rumours say if ICC postpones the T20 World Cup, BCCI will host IPL 2020 during the window.

While the entire world dwells on future tours, Rohit Sharma is keen to play both IPL 2020 and the World Cup. The swashbuckling batsman who is on the road to recovery from an injury shared his thoughts when a fan asked about his priorities.

Furthermore, he also added that the upcoming day-night Test against Australia will be challenging. India will tour Australia for a four-match Test series starting from December 3 in Brisbane. So far, they have played only one pink-ball Test last year against Bangladesh at the Eden Gardens.

Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma sustained an injury during the five-match T20I series against New Zealand. Subsequently, he missed the ODI and Test series where India suffered humiliation against the host. Rohit will have to appear for a fitness test at the National Cricket Academy to make him available for selection when cricket resumes.
