Rohit Sharma joined his Indian teammates after finishing his quarantine period in Melbourne on Wednesday. He met all of his teammates and head coach of the Indian cricket team Ravi Shastri gave him a warm welcome. His availability before the third Test comes as a massive boost for the Indian team, who are missing the likes of Virat Kohli and Mohammed Shami. He had travelled to the country earlier this month and was asked to quarantine as per the COVID guidelines in Adelaide.
Meanwhile, he has hit his first practice session after completing his quarantine period and meeting with his teammates. The BCCI has uploaded a few pictures from Rohit Sharma’s practice session in Melbourne.

Earlier Ravi Shastri said that they are yet to take a call on Rohit’s selection for the next Test match. Shastri has hinted that the management will assess Rohit Sharma and then take a call on whether or not he will play the third Test.
The Indian coach was ecstatic after his side produced a comeback for the ages and won a historic Test match at MCG.
India’s maiden Pink-Ball Test against Bangladesh was Rohit Sharma’s last Test for India. he scored his maiden double ton in the Test match as India won the game by an innings and 46 runs.
Rohit Sharma had injured his hamstring during the IPL. He missed a few league games before making a comeback in the playoffs and eventually made the final. After the IPL, he missed the limited-overs series against Australia as he was under treatment for his hamstring at the NCA. Once deemed fit he was allowed to travel to Australia for the final two Test matches.
Cricket Australia has confirmed the venue for the third Test match of the Border-Gavaskar trophy. Sydney Cricket Ground will host the third Test after there were question marks on its availability after a rise in COVID-19 cases the Northern beaches of Sydney.
Cricket Australia earlier said that it is committed to hosting the final test in Sydney and will bring the situation under control by the time the test match starts and they have finally been able to successfully make SCG eligible to host the third Test.
