Rohit Sharma Smiles As He Poses For A Photo With Ravindra Jadeja

Recently, the captain of Team India, Rohit Sharma, was photographed with Ravindra Jadeja as they journeyed together to the US. They were joined by Jasprit Bumrah, Suryakumar Yadav, Rishabh Pant, and several others for preparations ahead of the forthcoming 2024 T20 World Cup.

The campaign of the Men in Blue in the tournament will kick off on June 5 with a match against Ireland in New York. The highly anticipated match between India and Pakistan is scheduled for June 9 in the same city. Led by Rohit Sharma, the team will face USA and Canada in their final two group matches on June 12 and 15.

India will have just one practice match before the tournament, scheduled for June 1 against Bangladesh. Rohit Sharma and several other members of the Indian contingent departed from Mumbai Airport on Saturday and arrived in the USA on Sunday.

Rohit provided a glimpse of their journey by sharing a picture of himself with Ravindra Jadeja on his Instagram story.

During a recent interview with Dubai Eye 103.8 FM, Rohit Sharma discussed the prospect of facing Pakistan in the upcoming 2024 T20 World Cup. The Indian skipper expressed his fondness for challenges and expressed his eagerness to compete against a formidable team like Pakistan, citing their strong bowling lineup.

Sharma remarked: “At the end of the day, I want to play cricket and I want to feel challenged in cricket. I feel Pakistan has a good team. They have got solid bowlers who have come through the ranks now. India-Pakistan always brings out something and more than the team, people outside will love watch us play.”

Regarding the pressures and expectations on cricketers in India, Rohit further commented: “When you sign up as a cricketer in India, you should know what you’re dealing with. When you come good, they will make you look like Gods, but obviously, when things don’t go your way, they can tear you apart as well.”
