Rohit Sharma starred with the bat for Team India at the Sydney Cricket Ground on Saturday, October 25, during the third ODI against Australia. The experienced opener scored his 33rd ODI century, guiding India to successfully chase a target of 237 with nine wickets to spare.

After a disappointing start to the series, being dismissed for just eight in the first match, Rohit made a strong comeback in the second ODI with a resilient 73 off 97 balls. He carried that momentum into the final game, reaching triple figures with an unbeaten 121 from 125 deliveries, including 13 fours and three sixes.

Rohit Sharma was stripped of India’s ODI captaincy ahead of the series, with Shubman Gill appointed as the new leader. His place in the playing XI was also under scrutiny. However, the veteran batsman quickly put any doubts to rest with a brilliant innings, earning widespread acclaim on social media for his match-winning century.

India chased the target with ease, powered by a 168*–run partnership between Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli for the second wicket off 170 balls. Kohli bounced back from consecutive ducks to remain unbeaten on 74 from 81 balls. The Men in Blue reached the target in 38.3 overs, securing a comfortable consolation victory.
