Rohit Sharma Takes A Dig At ICC For Excluding Him From The Best Pull Shot Category

Star Team India opener Rohit Sharma recently took a sly dig at the International Cricket Council (ICC) for excluding him from the list of the best pull-shot player. With no sporting activities going on due to the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, the cricketers are trying to keep themselves busy on social media.

According to the World Health Organisation(WHO), there is 2,94,110, confirmed cases of coronavirus, with a death toll of 12944. More than 185 countries have been affected by COVID-19 which can spread rapidly in the coming days. The virus has left its mark in India as well with 400+ cases reported and a death toll of 7.

Everyone is asked to keep themselves in self-isolation along with a lockdown across the globe. With a lot of time by their side, the governing body took to Twitter on Sunday and asked the fans which batsman, past or present, plays the best pull shot.

The ICC gave four options to fans – Ricky Ponting, Sir Vivian Richards, Herschelle Gibbs, and Virat Kohli. The apex body also posted a collage of pictures of Ricky Ponting, Virat Kohli, Sir Vivian Richards, and Herschelle Gibbs leaving it the to the fans to decide on the best candidate.

While many believed the former Aussie skipper Ponting is the best when it comes to playing pull shots, Rohit Sharma took a dig at ICC for leaving him out. He echoed the voice of many followers, who felt Rohit should have been in the list in place of Virat Kohli.

“Someone’s missing here ?? Not easy to work from home, I guess,” Rohit Sharma trolled the governing body.

Meanwhile, the star opener is currently out of action due to the injury he sustained in New Zealand. He was not a part of the ODI squad against South Africa; however, the break due to the coronavirus outbreak will give him time to recover and come back in full swing.
