IPL 2020: Match 15 – Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Rajasthan Royals: 5 Key Players To Watch Out For

The Royal Challengers Bangalore are all set to take on the Rajasthan Royals at the Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi. Both sides stand equal in the points table as both teams have won two games and lost one.

Talking about both the sides, there are some serious match-winners in each side starting from the captains of both sides Virat Kohli and Steve Smith who have dominated the international circuit since last few years with their sublime batting. If they both get going there is no stopping them which is why we should keep a close watch on them.

Well, there are other match-winners in the form of Devdutt Padikkal, Sanju Samson we shouldn’t fail to talk about as they have the talk of this Indian Premier League with their consistent show this season. With the encounter expected to be an exciting affair lets take a look at the five key players to watch out for in this match.

Let’s take a look at the top 5 key players we should watch out for when Royal Challengers Bangalore lock horns with Rajasthan Royals:

1. Virat Kohli

The Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper hasn’t had the greatest start to this year’s Indian Premier League as he’s failed to score a single fifty in 3 matches. But what matters is RCB haven’t had a bad start this season as they’ve won 2 out of 3 games they’ve played this season.

Though Virat hasn’t scored many runs this season, a player with such calibre can never be counted out as we should soon expect big innings from the RCB skipper.

2. Rahul Tewatia

Rahul Tewatia

How can one not talk about Rahul Tewatia after that stellar show the other night against Kings XI Punjab? He showed character, resilience and strength in his batting as at one point everyone thought he should retire out himself.

But then Rahul Tewatia rose from the bottom and showed what he’s capable of as he smashed Sheldon Cottrell for five sixes in one over to pull the game back in Rajasthan Royals’ favour. As a result, we should watch out for Tewatia this season as he’s one of the key players for the franchise in pink.

3. Washington Sundar

The off-spinner from Tamil Nadu has been one of the unsung heroes for the Royal Challengers Bangalore in this season. Let’s not forget the brilliant spell he bowled in the power play against Mumbai Indians.

Going ahead in this season we expect Washington to put up brilliant performances with the bat just like he did the other day against Mumbai Indians since the spin conducive pitches in UAE will help him with his off-spinners.

4. Sanju Samson

The young man has been on fire ever since this season started, in the two games, he’s played this season he has hit a fifty in both games. If he consistently scores runs for his franchise this season then him being include in the India team setup is not far.

In the first match against Chennai Super Kings, he scored a fifty batting first. Later his innings against Kings Xi Punjab was instrumental in completing the highest successful chase in the history of the IPL.

5. Tom Curran

The brother of Sam Curran hasn’t fallen back as he’s another show stopper we should keep all our eyes on. He has been bowling really well for the Rajasthan Royals but other than his bowling his batting has also been the talk of this IPL.

In the match against Kolkata Knight Riders, where the Rajasthan Royals batsmen struggled it was Tom Curran who took the charge on, even though it ended in a losing cause, he ultimately went on to score a fifty against KKR.
