Royal Challengers Bangalore face Delhi capitals in match 19 of IPL 2020 in Dubai. Both these teams are coming off comprehensive victories in their last respective games. While RCB beat Rajasthan Royals, Delhi Capitals triumphed over KKR in a close encounter. This is the first time both these teams are facing each other. Both these teams are also in the top 4 of the IPL 2020 points table at the moment. More about the RCB vs DC match preview in detail below.
Virat Kohli coming back into form comes as good news for RCB heading into this game. With Devdutt Padikkal and Aaron Finch giving Royal Challengers Bangalore gives starts at the top, the in-form Kohli and AB De Villiers give the RCB batting order a lot of solidity. They will come up against a competitive bowling attack from the opposition with the likes of Rabada, Nortje and Ashwin in their ranks.
Delhi-Bangalore fight it out to continue winning run
RCB now seems to be finding the right combination with their bowlers as well. Yuzvendra Chahal, Washington Sundar and Azam Zampa along with Navdeep Saini steaming in first up. Isuru Udana and Shivam Dube have done a good job with the ball as well in supporting Saini from the other end. This bowling attack gives RCB enough options and the ability to penetrate deep into the opposition batting attack as was visible against the Royals.
Delhi Capitals, in their last game against KKR, scored the highest total so far in this IPL. One believes they will keep the same approach as they play in Dubai and against an opposition who have been batting-heavy in the past.
Their Indian core of batsmen was amongst the runs against Kolkata and would like to keep their form going. In Marcus Stoinis and Shimron Hetmyer, they have good finishers who have proved their potential for the team in the previous matches.
They have a well-rounded bowling attack as well to defend big totals as was seen last night. Delhi Capitals haven’t been tested in a chase so far. Also, no chasing team has won in Dubai so far in this IPL. This is a factor that both teams will be wary about.

Head to Head: Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Delhi Capitals
In 24 games between both sides, RCB have had the wood over their opponents. They have won 15 games, while Delhi have won 8. One game ended in no-result. In the last five meetings between the two teams, Royal Challengers Bangalore has won three while Delhi two.
Pitch & Weather Conditions
Interestingly, there is a 10 percent chance of rain and a pleasant evening awaiting in Dubai for the players during match time. However, it is expected to be a passing shower. The game will be played at the centre pitch.
As said earlier, no chasing team has won in Dubai in the games played. Wonder if this will prompt the captain winning the toss look to set a score and defend it later.
Team News
It is very unlikely that both teams would like to break the winning combination coming into this game. However, Royal Challengers Bangalore are planning to include Dale Steyn in place of Adam Zampa as a match-up against the Indian top-order for Delhi.
Also, a Rabada vs Kohli match-up is on the cards as well. Delhi will stick to their winning combination unless there is any last-minute injury to any of the players.
