The top two teams of the league stage, MI and RPS will play the finals on 21st May at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad. RPS will play their maiden IPL finals whereas it will be the 4th finals for MI.

PREVIOUS ENCOUNTERS

In their previous encounters, RPS has defeated MI in all their 3 games this season. In Qualifiers 1, RPS defeated MI by 20 runs with Parthiv Patel being the highest run scorer for the team by hitting a smashing 52. However, apart from Parthiv Patel, none of the batsmen proved useful for MI. Stalwarts like Rohit Sharma, Kieron Pollard and Simmons all were sent back to the pavilion before they could reach a double digit score.  On the other hand, RPS had a lot of positives from the game with their key players getting back into action.

He is the only player to reach the IPL finals 7 times. Clearly, MSD knows how to handle pressure in crucial games like this. Moreover, him getting back in form in his previous match, 40 (26) will surely prove to be a boon for RPS.

2. JAYDEV UNADKAT

By taking 22 wickets in 11 games Jaydev Unadkat registered his spot to become the second highest wicket taker this season. Unadkat will play an integral role in RPS bowling lineup by taking wickets in the power play as well as in the death overs.

3. JASPRIT BUMRAH

Jasprit Bumrah is the key player for his team MI and also the 4th highest wicket taker this season. Ever since his debut, Jasprit Bumrah is proving to be beneficial for his team. In his last 15 matches, bumrah took 18 wickets. Bumrah will be all set to restrict the big hitters of RPS and to show his impact in the big game.

4. ROHIT SHARMA

309 runs with an average of 23.76, Rohit Sharma wasn’t quite impressive this season. However, Rohit would surely like to hit big in the last and the most crucial game of the season and register his 3rd IPL win.

Just like his unique name, this young boy has his own unique game and abundance of talent alongway. In the previous match against MI, it was Washington Sundar who took away the game by picking 3 wickets by giving only 16 runs. Hope to see this bunch of talent in action tomorrow.

MI and RPS are two of the most balanced, robust and entertaining team of the season. The fans will be all set watch their favorite teams win and moreover, a great game of cricket.
