Former cricketer Sachin Tendulkar is one of the greatest cricketers this world has seen. He has created several astonishing records which are difficult to break. Sachin is the top run-scorer in international cricket across formats. Recently, Tendulkar revealed his all-time cricket XI.

The most shocking thing about Sachin’s playing XI was that there was no place for modern-day greats MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli. Another surprising exclusion from the playing XI was Rahul Dravid, who shared the dressing room with Tendulkar for over a decade.

Sachin preferred Adam Gilchrist over MS Dhoni as wicketkeeper. Virender Sehwag and Sunil Gavaskar were the two picks of Sachin Tendulkar for the opening position. Sehwag is one of the most dangerous openers in the history of cricket, while Sunil Gavaskar was extremely famous for his technique and patience.

Sachin Tendulkar picked the legendary middle order of – Brian Lara, Viv Richards, Jacques Kallis and Sourav Ganguly in his playing XI. Viv and Lara were two of the greatest batsmen in the history of West Indies cricket.

Kallis, on the other hand, is arguably the best all-rounder to have played the sport while Ganguly was one of the stylish left-handed batters to have graced the sport. However, Sachin didn’t name any captain for his playing XI

Talking about the bowlers, Sachin Tendulkar also selected a ruthless bowling pack. The bowling attack consists of legends  Glen McGrath, Shane Warne, Wasim Akram and Harbhajan Singh. These names are enough to send down chill down the spines of the batters.
