Former India cricketer Sachin Tendulkar is one of the richest cricketers on the planet. He owns a plethora of luxury cars including flagship vehicles of top brands like Ferrari, BMW and Nissan among others. However, Tendulkar’s love for his first car – Maruti Suzuki 800 is still unparalleled.

The batting genius bought the car when he was still very young and is very emotional about it. Speaking with Mudit Dani on his show ‘In the Sportlight’, Sachin Tendulkar expressed his emotions for his first class. He also urged everyone to help him find his Maruti 800.

“My first car was a Maruti 800. Unfortunately, it is not with me right now. I would love to have it back again with me. So, people listening to me, feel free to contact and get in touch,” said Sachin.

Meanwhile, like other cricketers, Sachin Tendulkar also has a fascination for cars. He owns some of costliest cars in the country. The maestro shared how his love for four-wheelers grew from childhood days. Tendulkar used to stand in his balcony and watch other cars and from there, his fascination started.

“There was a massive open drive-in movie hall near my house where people used to park their cars and watch the movie, sitting in it. So I, along with my brother, used to stand in our balcony for hours to watch those cars,” he added.

Moreover, Sachin Tendulkar also recalled when he first entered the Mumbai dressing room. He entered at a very tender age as a ball boy and since then, it is history. In that first glimpse, Tendulkar got to know how players gear up for that game. He also got to see his idol Sunil Gavaskar from close quarters.

Later in his career, Tendulkar used to sit in the same chair that of his hero in the Mumbai dressing room.

“I was standing right in front of the dressing room (as a ball boy), so I could observe how players prepare themselves for the game. Later I got invited by my hero (Sunil) Gavaskar in the dressing room,” Sachin said.

“I still remember he was sitting on the last seat right in the corner and coincidently I also ended up sitting on the same spot when I started playing Ranji Trophy cricket. It was a coincidence to share the same spot as your hero but a magnificent coincidence,” he added.
