Sai Sudharsan has etched his name in Indian cricket history by surpassing Sachin Tendulkar’s record to become the fastest Indian to score 2000 runs in T20 cricket. Representing Gujarat Titans, Sudharsan reached the milestone during their match against Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025.
He scored 48 runs off just 23 balls, hitting nine boundaries before getting dismissed by Zeeshan Ansari. With this performance, he reached 2000 runs in just 54 innings. Earlier, Sachin Tendulkar held the record with 59 innings. Among all players globally, Shaun Marsh still holds the top spot, having achieved the feat in only 53 innings. Others who reached 2000 runs in 58 innings include Brad Hodge, Marcus Trescothick, and Muhammad Waseem.

Nothing changes us for us. This is the time when a good team peaks. We are not really looking at the NRR. We are looking to see each game as it is. We have one change. Gerald comes in for Karim.”
