Sanjay Manjrekar Applauds Shahrukh Khan For His Cameo Against Delhi Capitals

Former Indian cricketer turned commentator Sanjay Manjrekar got impressed with Shahrukh Khan’s breath-taking performance last night for Punjab Kings. He smashed Chris Morris for two fours and one maximum in the 20th over. With his presence at the crease, Khan had paved his way to give a brilliant finish to Punjab against Delhi Capitals. Punjab finished the innings after piling up 195 runs for six wickets. Unfortunately, they could not defend the total and lost the match by 6 wickets to Delhi.

Openers KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal kept their game away from any speed breaker. Both of them put up an opening stand for 122 runs in 12.4 overs. Birthday boy KL Rahul notched up 61 off 51 balls, and Agarwal chalked up 69 from 36 deliveries.

But after losing some wickets after the 12th over, their run rate deceased. It was only Khan who sped up the process with his blistering 15 off 5. After the massacre, he did it to Delhi Capitals, Sanjay Manjrekar praised the youngster from Tamil Nadu – Shahrukh Khan on Twitter.

“Showed excellent temperament last game and tonight some wonderful ‘limited time’ hitting. Lots to like about Shahrukh. #PBKSvDC,” Manjrekar on Twitter.

Later, padding up for batting, Delhi Capitals’ openers Shikhar Dhawan dispatched maximums to all pockets of the ground. He knocked up 92 runs off 49 balls, played a pivotal role in their chase. Delhi Capitals never stumbled in their chase. Marcus Stoinis’ cameo of 27 runs of 13 balls, put DC on the victorious side.

Delhi leapfrogged to the second spot in the points table after the belting victory. Shikhar Dhawan is the orange cap holder now. Rishabh Pant’s side has emerged victorious in 2 matches out of their 3 fixtures. Despite losing their regular captain Shreyas Iyer to injury and Axar Patel is down with covid, DC are sailing well till now.
