Team India cricketer KL Rahul has witnessed a meteoric rise in his game in the last few months. From being almost out of the team to being on the best batters in the side, it has been a complete turnaround for the cricketer. Recently, he got the backing of former India cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar, who urged the management to continue with Rahul at No. 5.

Ever since KL Rahul donned the wicket-keeping gloves ahead of Rishabh Pant, the batsman from Karnataka has been oozing with confidence. His self-belief has done wonders for KL Rahul, who has transformed his batting totally. Currently, he is the frontrunner ahead of Shikhar Dhawan to open the innings for India alongside Rohit Sharma in the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup 2020.

Furthermore, Rahul has also cemented his berth in No. 5 position in fifty-overs cricket. And now has got the backing for former cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar. Recently, the commentator, who was recently sacked by BCCI engaged in a question-answer session where he batted for KL Rahul.

“For the moment he is the right fit. But we must keep looking for a Raina and Yuvi kind of batsman when Rahul eventually moves to the top,” Sanjay Manjrekar wrote on Twitter.
