Sanju Samson Posts Cryptic Message On Social Media Following Omission From ODIs Against Australia

Sanju Samson, a prominent Indian batter, was once seen as a potential replacement for the wicket-keeping role in the Indian team due to injuries to Rishabh Pant and KL Rahul. However, he has encountered obstacles in securing a spot in the team.

His lackluster performance in the West Indies has compounded this challenge, especially given the outstanding batting displays by Ishan Kishan and KL Rahul during the Asia Cup 2023.

Regrettably, Samson has not been chosen for the World Cup squad or the Indian Asian Games team. Additionally, he has been left out of the squad slated to participate in a three-match ODI series ahead of the commencement of the ODI World Cup.

Sanju Samson posted a mysterious message on Facebook along with a smiling emoji

In response to his disappointment, Samson posted a cryptic Facebook message with a smiling emoji, and fans have been supportive in their comments, “Bro…be proud of what you have achieved so far,” and another encouraging him to “stay strong champ.”

Another user on Facebook commented, “It’s truly baffling to see how selectors continue to overlook such a talented performer. Your dedication and excellent performances should definitely earn you a spot on the international stage. Keep pushing boundaries and proving your worth ‘ your time will come!”

Another user reacted, “This is how it is here so try your best one day they will know your worth take care.”

Sanju Samson’s exclusion from the India vs. Australia series squad raised questions, as the BCCI unveiled a 15-member lineup for the forthcoming three-match ODI series, omitting players such as Sanju and Yuzvendra Chahal. Additionally, the experienced Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin was included in the squad.

Sanju Samson’s most recent appearance for the Indian cricket team was during the West Indies tour, where he struggled to perform. It’s evident that he won’t be part of the plans for the upcoming ICC Cricket World Cup, as Ishan Kishan and KL Rahul are likely to secure spots in the starting lineup.
