Sarfaraz Khan’s Father Issues Warning Against Fake Accounts Spreading Rumours

Naushad, the father of Indian cricketer Sarfaraz Khan, recently issued a cautionary message to cricket enthusiasts regarding the proliferation of fake social media accounts impersonating him. These accounts have been deceitfully soliciting money from aspiring cricketers under the guise of facilitating their selection as IPL net bowlers, enrollment in cricket academies, or inclusion in state teams.

In a heartfelt video, Naushad emphasized the prevalence of these fraudulent activities across various social media platforms and urged budding cricketers to place their trust in their own abilities and diligent efforts rather than falling victim to scams.

Naushad said: “On my name, a lot of people have made fake accounts on Facebook and Instagram. On the pretext of getting entry into the IPL as net bowlers, or for state, academy selection, those accounts are asking kids for money.

“I request you to not believe them and trust your own hard work. I am not associated with any IPL team, and neither am I coaching anywhere. Please don’t believe them. Thank you so much!”

The emergence of these impostor accounts coincided with Sarfaraz’s debut in the third Test against England in Rajkot, a moment that garnered widespread attention on social media platforms. The narrative of the father-son duo’s journey resonated deeply with fans, shedding light on the sacrifices made by their family in pursuit of cricketing success.

Meanwhile, Sarfaraz’s younger brother Musheer has been making significant strides in domestic cricket, particularly in the Ranji Trophy, where he has been showcasing his talent while representing the Mumbai state team. Sarfaraz himself has solidified his position as a dependable player for the Indian national team since his debut, despite encountering challenges such as a less-than-ideal performance in the fourth Test at Ranchi. Nonetheless, Sarfaraz is expected to maintain his spot in the team for the upcoming fifth Test in Dharamsala, reflecting his continued growth and contribution to Indian cricket.
