KL Rahul suffered a big setback when he was ruled out of the 5- match T20I series between India and South Africa. Rahul was all set to lead the Indian team in his first T20I series in absence of Rohit Sharma. However due to groin injury, Rahul now can’t take part in this T20I series.
It was a golden opportunity for KL Rahul to prove himself as captain. Several cricket fans have doubted his captaincy after India lost by 0-3 in the ODI series in South Africa under him. Since then the Karnataka batsman has faced a lot of criticism for his captaincy.
KL Rahul on instagram posted a video of him hitting the gym sessions with the caption “Setbacks < Comebacks”. Rahul can be seen working extremely hard in the video. He would be eager to make a strong comeback in the Indian team for the last Test against England. He played a vital role in the 2-1 lead of Indian team in the England Test Tour.
Recently KL Rahul missed the T20I series against West Indies and Srilanka due to injury. He also missed the Test series against Srilanka. However, KL Rahul had a great 2022 season of the Indian Premier League. He led from the front and scored 616 runs at a strike rate of 135 in IPL 2022.

KL Rahul broke the news of his injury on his twitter handle. He was gutted to miss this T20I series against South Africa. Rahul gave his best wishes to Rishabh Pant who would be the stand-in captain in this T20I series. Rahul also thanked fans for their support.
