Shahrukh Khan Reacts After Being Snapped By Punjab Kings For ₹ 5.25 crore

There was jubilation in the Tamil Nadu Team bus when multiple franchises were bidding for their very own Shahrukh Khan as the Punjab Kings acquired the services of the 25-year-old batsman for a sum of ₹ 5.25 crore. Shahrukh Khan who is known for his hard-hitting abilities had his base price set at just ₹ 20 lakhs before franchises went into a bidding war which was eventually won by the Punjab Kings.

Shahrukh Khan has a reputation for hitting the long ball as seen during Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy where he struck an 18 ball 40 run knock against Himachal Pradesh helping Tamil Nadu qualify for the semi-final as they eventually emerged as champions in the finals by beating Baroda by 7 wickets.

‘I am looking forward to meeting Anil (Kumble) sir’ – Shahrukh Khan

After getting picked by Punjab Kings, Shahrukh Khan spoke about how excited is to meet the universe boss Chris Gayle. Further adding the 25-year old is also looking forward to sharing the dressing room with KL Rahul and Chris Gayle.

“I know KL Rahul and have met him a couple of times but I am very excited to meet Chris Gayle. He hits the ball so hard. He is a dangerous batman. I am really happy that I will be sharing the dressing room with seniors like KL and Gayle. I am really thankful to Punjab for showing faith in me,” Shah Rukh Khan told TimesofIndia.com.

Shahrukh Khan is also looking to learn more from Anil Kumble the Head Coach of the Punjab Kings franchise. The batsman said he’ll be looking to justify his place in the side and give his absolute best when being provided with an opportunity.

“I am looking forward to meeting Anil (Kumble) sir and want to ask him a lot of things. It is going to be a huge learning experience for me. I will look to justify my place in the team. Big thanks to them, they took me in their team. I am sure I will deliver and will do my best for the team,” the 25-year-old further said.”
