Bangladesh’s brightest star Shakib Al Hasan has played an active role in the fight against coronavirus pandemic since it broke out. To raise funds for the fight against novel coronavirus, the all-rounder recently opted to auction his bat which he used in the ICC World Cup 2019 in England and Wales.

Shakib had a dream run in the tournament with both bat and ball earning a lot of praise for him. The veteran all-rounder, who is currently serving a ban, took some time out for an interactive session with the fans and followers on social media. Showing up for the noble cause, Shakib reportedly came live on social media to overlook the auction conducted to allocate funds to fight the pandemic which has halted the daily lives.

During the online chat, Shakib Al Hasan answered questions on various topics including his favourite footballer. He is a diehard Barcelona fan and it is a no-brainer that Shakib prefers Lionel Messi over Juventus star Cristiano Ronaldo. Answer a question, Shakib had to pick one with whom he wants to go to the moon apart from his wife; the cricketer took no time to name Messi.

Furthermore, Shakib Al Hasan also talked about the 2019 World Cup during the live session and said that the auctioned willow was his favourite bat with which he scored a lot of runs consistently.

“I had a good World cup with the bat and ball. There were some good performances, especially with the bat. I had used a single bat throughout the World Cup and even used tapes on it to get through games,” Shakib said.
