Meanwhile, Shikhar Dhawan is known for entertaining fans both on and off the field. Amid the ongoing lockdown, Dhawan was in conversation with former India all-rounder Irfan Pathan on Wednesday. The fun increased manifolds when Pathan put the dashing all-rounder in a rapid-fire round.

From India’s best batsman to his favourite opening pair, Gabbar opened his heart out to Irfan Pathan. Shikhar Dhawan, who made his debut under MS Dhoni in all formats of the game, picked the latter as his favourite skipper. On the other hand, he went with Rohit Sharma as his choice for the opening pair.
“(Best batting partner will be) Rohit Sharma… I have only played under Virat and Dhoni, so, as of now, Dhoni bhai,” Dhawan told Irfan.

Incidentally, Shikhar Dhawan has played under another three skipper apart from Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni. The southpaw has played under the likes of Rohit Sharma, Suresh Raina, and Ajinkya Rahane. Adding further, Dhawan picked Virat Kohli as the best batter of the modern-day game; however, also praised Rohit for having an impeccable World Cup last year.
“Virat Kohli is the best current Indian batsman. Rohit also did brilliantly in the World Cup as he scored five centuries,” Dhawan added.
