Shoaib Akhtar And Wasim Akram Engage In Funny Banter On Twitter

Former Pakistan fast bowlers Shoaib Akhtar and Wasim Akram have given nightmares to opposition batters during their playing days. They enjoyed bowling in tandem and brought great success to their country as Pakistan were recognised as the hub of fast bowling. The duo still shares a great bond and their recent banter on social media took fans back by a decade or two.

Recently, the left-arm pacer rode back the memory lane by posting a picture with Akhtar along with tagging him on Twitter that soon transformed into a funny banter. Wasim Akram praised Pakistan’s old jersey saying that it truly represented their culture, tradition, and language. Meanwhile, Australia and New Zealand recently boasted retro kit for the ODI series which was later called off in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.

“One of the best things about playing for Pakistan was proudly wearing my uniform, and this one had to be the best ODI kit I had ever worn. It was the perfect representation of our nations colours, language and flag and it also looked really cool,” Akram wrote.

In the image, Wasim Akram, who was the skipper back then, looked extremely serious and was giving some advice to his teammate Shoaib Akhtar. Reacting on Akram’s post, Akhtar wrote,

‘Payan lagta hai bahut ziada daant parr rahi rhi mujhe. Batayen phir kya keh rahay thay? @wasimakramlive (Looks like I was getting scolded by you there, can you tell me what were you trying to say?)’

“I was probably saying any chance of bowling straight shabby,” Akram replied to Akhtar, who was quick to reply back. “Janay dain @wasimakramlive bhai, I was probably the most accurate bowler you captained,” Akhtar responded.
