Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma is all set to return to action after a gap of two months. He last turned out for Mumbai Indians in the IPL where he guided his team to the fifth illustrious title. Since then, he has been nursing his injury at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru.

He flew to Australia on December 13th and completed his 14-days quarantine before joining Team India. He is likely to play the third Test match against Australia starting from January 7 (Wednesday) at the Sydney Cricket Ground.

Incidentally, he was once again put into strict isolation along with four other Indian cricketers after they breached the bio-bubble. However, all the cricketers have tested negative for coronavirus and have travelled with the entire squad to Sydney earlier today.
