Shubman Gill was dismissed cheaply by England for the second time in the Test match at Chennai. The Indian opener looked in a positive frame of mind in his second knock before he failed to read an arm ball by Jack Leach. Gill was anticipating the ball to turn but it went straight on and struck his pad right in front.
The talented Shubman Gill was dismissed lbw by spinner Jack Leach for 14 as India lost their first wicket. It proved to be a disappointing Test match for Shubman Gill as he could score only a total of 14 runs. The 21-year-old scored his first duck in Test on day 1 and then again fell cheaply for 14.

After umpire adjudged Gill out he had a polite inquiry with Rohit Sharma and went for DRS at the lost moment. The DRS showed that the ball was crashing into the middle and leg stump and it was the right decision made by the umpires. Gill was upset with himself as he could have defended the delivery with a lot more intent but he eventually missed a straight ball from Leach.

Meanwhile as far as the Test match is concerned India is miles ahead after England were bundled out for only 134 runs. Ravichandran Ashwin once again was the star with the ball as he picked yet another 5 wicket haul in Test cricket. India currently 54-1 in their second innings but are more importantly have a lead of 249 runs. Rohit Sharma after his century in the first innings carried his good form and is currently unbeaten on 25 runs.
The hosts will be aiming to bat the majority of day 3 and give England to chase a mammoth total on the challenging chepauk track. Rohit and Pujara will resume batting for India on day 3 as India inch closer to making it 1-1 in the 4 match Test series.
