India A team have already won hearts of the fans by winning the triseries in England. Prithvi Shaw and Mayank Agarwal’s blitz at the top of the order had really helped the team to adapt to English conditions. The efforts put by Deepak Chahar and other bowlers can’t be discounted though.
However, the team failed to replicate their ODI triumph in the longest format. India A had lost the game miserably against England Lions by 253 runs, courtesy the dependable innings from Alastair Cook.
Rishabs Pat’s maturity with the bat in the longest format of the game really added a boost to the squad as he registered half-centuries in both the innings. But what really deserves a special mention is the effort from Mohammed Siraj.
The Hyderabai shared a video of him dismissing former English skipper Alastair Cook. The batsman was left clueless as Siraj knocked him down before he could realize. Cook left the field tapping the pitch with the bat and was awestruck with the pace delivered by the bowler.
Mohammed Siraj after a series of inconsistent performances in the initial stages of cash-rich IPL played a vital role in turning things in the favour of RCB prior to playoffs. However, lack of support from other end delayed their maiden title.
