The Indian pacer is on 95 Test wickets and is approaching the 100 wicket mark in the next Test. He will be the quickest Indian pacer to get to that landmark if he gets to it at Headingley. With 12 wickets in the first two Tests, Bumrah is topping the wicket-takers list at the moment.

Meanwhile, with the T20 World Cup coming up, Bumrah is being seen as India’s most important threat with the ball. Former Indian batsman Gautam Gambhir has said that he will be India’s X-factor in the tournament.

“There are a lot of chances. They have got the firepower in every context. They have got the batting, they have got the spin. They have got the fast bowlers as well. When you have someone like Jasprit Bumrah, you will always have that X-factor. He has got to be the biggest factor in the T20 World Cup” said Gambhir.
