After whitewashing Sri Lanka in the test matches and One-day internationals, Virat Kohli and Co would be looking to end the tour with a clean sweep as they take on struggling Sri Lankan team in one off T20 match at R Premadasa Stadium, Colombo tomorrow.
In tomorrow’s match, the Indian captain Virat Kohli could open with Rohit Sharma. KL Rahul, Manish Pandey, MS Dhoni and Kedar Jadhav as the middle order batsmen. Manish Pandey did well in the chances he got in One-day Internationals. Despite KL Rahul not performing well, he has a chance to come at number 3.
Axar Patel and Hardik Pandya might play as all-rounders in the XI. Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav might be the spinners in tomorrow’s match. Jasprit Bumrah who was the leading wicket taker in ODI series and with him Bhvuneshwar Kumar will be the Pacers. India lost their previous T20 match against West Indies.
Sri Lanka has made six changes to their ODI squad. They have played well in T20 format this year beating South Africa, Australia. Upul Tharanga will be leading the side. Dickwella and Munaweera are the openers in the side. Upul Tharanga, Mathews has to play well as the experienced players. In the bowling department, Lasith Malinga, Lakmal, Isuru Udana, Vikum Sanjaya are the pace bowling options. Akila Danajaya, Jeffrey Vandersay, Prasanna, Siriwardana would be spin bowling options. Out of these bowlers, Malinga, Lakmal could be the pace bowling options and Danajaya, Vandersay the spin bowling options.
