Special Bats with chips to be used in champions trophy 17:  In a great innovation, the ICC have decided to use special bats with chips to be used in the upcoming Champions Trophy 2017 starting from 1st June at England. The top 8 teams in the world has come to England.

They will use the chips in all the three venues which will make the viewing of the audience more engaging and to help the coaches as well players. The tournament will be called as smart Cricket tournament.

The chips in bats will help to take a look at the players, cameras will be installed and experts will analyse the data accordingly. According to Xtratime.com, from the 8 teams, 3 players will bat with the special bats.

Edgbaston, Cardiff, Oval will host the 15 matches of the tournament has the hawk-eye cameras. With the spidercam, the drone cameras will be used for the very first time. Drone cameras allow them to capture things that are not possible for human photgraphers and videographers.

Spidercam is a system which helps the cameras to move vertically and horizontally on a cricket pitch. Many incidents have happened on a cricket pitch which has the hit the spidercam and was bowled again. It will be a great viewing for the audience at the ground to see both spidercam and drone cameras to be together on a cricket field.

The team sheet of the playing XI to be in the game but the captains will sign and give it umpires on a tablet. The fans will have the luxury of having HD wi fi at all the playing venues in the tournament.

Steve Elworthy the director of the tournament said: “I think it probably is up there [as the first Smart Cricket tournament]. Everything we’ve done when we’ve sat down and planned this, we say “Smart” immediately you jump a technology solution for it.”

The first match of the tournament will see England take on Bangladesh in the very first match at Oval, London. It promises to be exciting times for the fans and players to be a part of competitive tournament, technology. Each team will play in the group once and the top two teams qualify for the semi-finals.

India will enter the Champions Trophy 2017 as the defending Champions that they won in 2013 under the captaincy of MS Dhoni. This time the Men in Blue will be captained by Virat Kohli. They won the first warm up match by 45 runs against New Zealand on 28th May and will take on Bangladesh tomorrow.
