Umran Malik has impressed everyone with his express pace in the 2022 season of Indian Premier League (IPL). He consistently crossed the 150 KMPH barrier in IPL 2022 which caught the attention of lots of cricket fans and experts. It’s a beautiful sight to see an Indian fast bowler bowl with sheer raw pace.

Umran is also selected in the Indian T20I team for the 5- match T20I series against South Africa. Several fans are excited to watch Umran bowl in the Indian jersey and bowl those thunderbolts. Recently, Shaheen Afridi was asked his views about the express pace of Umran Malik.

Shaheen in his interview said that speed without line length is of no use. Shaheen said: “Speed se kuch nahi hota (speed is of no use). I haven’t thought about bowling so fast. I personally believe speed is of no use. If you don’t have line, length and swing, you can’t beat the batter easily.”

Shaheen Afridi in his interview also said that he is also working on his fitness to increase pace so that his line length becomes more dangerous. Shaheen in the interview added: “Nevertheless, I try to focus on my fitness so that my pace can also increase. Hopefully, I will be able to generate more pace and my line and length will also get better.”

Looking forward to playing good cricket”- Shaheen Afridi excited for ODI series against WI

Shaheen Afridi would be seen in the action in the 3 match ODI series against West Indies. The ODI series will be played in Multan. Shaheen won the ICC Cricketer of the Year award for the year 2021. He was also in good form in the home series against Australia.

Shaheen would look to continue his good form against the West Indies. Shaheen in the media interaction said: The Weather is hot but we are looking forward to playing good cricket in it. It would be a tough challenge for the fast bowlers to bowl long spells in summer but as a professional, we are ready to face it.”
