This could certainly be an interesting face-off for the third One-Day International (ODI) between India and Sri Lanka. As much as India wants to equalize the series, Sri Lanka wants to write history by defeating their arch enemies in the series.

At R.Premadasa Stadium located in Colombo, an exciting cricket match is expected. India is determined to come back and set up a series decider even though they have started off badly against hosts Sri Lanka.

The Lankans dismissed Men in Blue for just 208 runs and went on to defend a total of 240 runs and lead 1-0 in the three-match series. This time around, India will be trying to equalize the series while Sri Lanka hopes it can record its first win ever over India during this series.

IND vs SL head-to-head record:

It’s fascinating to look at the face-to-face statistics from India and Sri Lanka’s One-Day International (ODI) matches. By July 2024, India will have a significant lead, having won 99 of the 170 ODIs between the two countries.

Meanwhile, Sri Lanka won 58 games, drew 11 and tied two. In previous years, the two national teams have had major rivalries, including the 2017 Champions Trophy and the 2018 Nidahas Trophy series.

Who will win the match?

The third ODI will be played by Sri Lanka and India. The series has been enthralling so far with the first ODI ending in a tie while Sri Lanka clinched the second game, and India took home the T20I series title. Based on current form or player selection it is hard to determine who will win. Nevertheless, I would suggest opting for India even if that might seem challenging because they have played more ODI cricket than anyone else.
