Team India’s T20 captain and Mumbai Indians star Suryakumar Yadav welcomed a baby girl as his wife, Devisha Shetty, gave birth to their first child. Suryakumar announced the happy news through a social media post that read:

Suryakumar Yadav has experienced a mixed campaign in the IPL 2026 season with the Mumbai Indians. Despite the team struggling for consistency and spending most of the season in the lower half of the points table, Suryakumar remained one of Mumbai’s most dependable performers with the bat.
Known for his fearless strokeplay and innovative shot-making, SKY played several important innings under pressure. He continued to anchor the middle order while maintaining an aggressive strike rate, often taking responsibility when Mumbai’s top order failed to deliver.
