Laureus’ Sport for Good has announced Yuvraj Singh, the stylish left-handed cricketer as their first Indian ambassador to strengthen their association with India. Yuvraj was named as the ambassador for an event in Mumbai where the cricketer was present to see who the organization is trying to change the lives of young children through sports.
Laureus’ Sport for Good works among the children and young people, using the medium of sports to overcome the challenge of violence, discrimination, and disadvantages proving sports ability to change the world. The organization supports more than 100 programs across 35 countries all over the world.

The southpaw while talking to the media after his association with the organization said, “It’s an honor for me to join the Laureus Family here in India and to see first-hand the great work being done to help young people overcome challenges in their lives. I’m a firm believer in the power of sport and its incredible ability to change lives, it changed mine and I’m looking forward to helping Laureus in their goal to improve much more in the future.”

However, former India cricketer Rahul Dravid was elated to hear the news. He said,” I”m delighted to welcome Yuvraj to the team. Knowing him as both a cricketer and person, I understand how passionately he believes in the power of sport and how determined he is to give back to those in need. I”m looking forward to working with Yuvraj once again, this time using sport to help young people overcome violence, discrimination, and disadvantage,” he added.
