Rohit Sharma fourth capatin to hit century in all formats

The Indian Cricket Team register a 2-1 series win over Australia after the fourth Test match at Ahmedabad ended in a draw. It was a placid batting pitch as Australia posted 480 runs in the first innings thanks to Usman Khawaja’s 180, Cameron Green’s maiden Test century and valuable contributions by Head, Todd Murphy, and Nathan Lyon.

Indian batting unit posted a massive total of 571 as Shreyas Iyer did not come to bat due to a back injury. Virat Kohli scored his first Test century since 2019 scoring 186 along with Shubman Gill 128, Axar Patel 79, and KS Bharat 44 helped India to take 91 runs lead.

“I am still learning as a captain in every game that I have captained. I have captained a lot in T20 cricket, more than the other formats but Test cricket I am only six matches old in terms of captaincy. I am still learning and guys around me have played a lot of cricket and they are there to help,” Rohit Sharma said.

“You need to be able to make the right decision and for that, you need to stay calm on the field. And those are the things I always think of when I am captaining the team. Still, as I said, I am learning about my captaincy. I am enjoying.”
